For a while now ive been meaning to learn the musical instruments that i've acquired over the recent months/year, my acoustic guitar that ive named Jacques (yes i name my stuff, deal with it :P) and my ukulele Lola, both of whom sit complacently in my room gathering dust, while i um and arr over how to go about learning to play them.
In truth its just another element of my procrastination coming into play, supplicated with the fact that ive been brought up in a family thats never been musicaly minded and so never have that support and motivation necessary to push myself to learn to play the instruments. I do what to learn them, because i have a great love of music and while my specialty seems to lie with lyrics and remembering them, much to my infamy, i was not supplied by evolution with the voice necessary to sing well or indeed even decently, so instruments are the way for people that can't sing, right?
I have help guides and stuff that would slowly speed me on my way, but im also stuck at the point where im so muscially inept im not even sure if the instruments are tuned proporly :S they seem to reasonate together, but when you compare it to videos online, it doesn't sound right....... anyone who could help with this is welcome :)
but im determined that at some point these instruments will be learned, maybe not tommorrow or the day after that but at some point in the future it shall be done! great words of failing have never been spoken......
Question: got any musical tips for me? what musical instruments can you guys play?
