so im not too sure why this post is called what its called, but hell just roll with it! =) (actually a Spongebob reference but feel free to make your own analogies on what it means)
so ive seemed to have run into a string of problems of late that i feel i need to express to the group (metaphorically speaking) and while i have a small readership (of 1 ;-) ) im just gonna put this out there and see what happens.
Problem 1 - Nanowrimo - now im full to the brim with ideas and won't deny that my imagination is a little bit out of control, but thats not the issue here, the main problem im having with nanowrimo is the urge to keep writing and stay focused on the job at hand. Now im not the greatest when it come to concentration and i frequently procastinate (for example this simple blog post is going to take me about 3 hours to write on and off. EDIT: coming back to complete this 2 weeks after i started it, should show you my problem =/) and its this issue i contend with and due to i have fallen severly behind in nanowrimo and desperatly need to catch up.
Problem 2 - Love - Now as you may have seen my recent vlog on the Fellowship of the Ning about how ive never had a girlfriend and never even been kissed by a girl, you may get where this comes from. Now ive never been sure how to interact with women that im attracted to, just treat them like you would any other friend and hope for the best has what ive gone with so far and tbh its been supremly ineffective =/ so i need a new plan, desperatly so as im still newish in the college enviroment and people haven't figured out how wierd i am yet, so that gives me an edge (so to speak =P) Now as ive also said in the Fellowship vlog, ive got my eye on a few people and seem to be getting somewhere with one of them, but i just have no clue what effect ive had so far, whether she's actually interested or if ive creeped her out like so many before her. =S so this is my dilemma and advice is always appreciated if you deem it fit to be given =)
Problem 3 - Laziness/Sloth - I am a lazy person, i know and admit that. There are a thousand possible ways i could be better spending my time, but i don't, perfectally (physically) content to carry on doing nothing, while my mind regales against it with avengence. The problem i think is that society has eliminated the need for us to go outside, perfering to stable-herd us into our homes and fill it with conviences that distract us and prevent us from actually needing to go outside. Even this laptop that i am writing this on is included on that list as it elimates the need to socially physically interact via the means of facebook & twitter and while it does have it merits as a communtity grouping device (i.e - youtubers) i sometimes long for days long past where people actually had to do all of thier communication face-to-face or by letter (or that could just be from playing too much Assassins Creed =D)
there are thousand more issues i could mention and explain, but i have neither the attention span nor the energy to do any more (probably more my laziness playing its role again =( ) so feel free to comment and give me some responses.

Me and Fictional Characters
So this blog post come to you off of the back of a post made by Kayley (owlssayhooot) of the 5 Awesome Girls a couple of days ago, where she talked about fictional characters that she linked herself with and I, in my finite and lacking wisdom, decided it would be a good idea to do my own version of this topic as I also find myself relating to the characteristics of various characters in various forms of fiction that I see in myself and can idenitfy with as well as being probably influenced by in some way or another.
BTW: this is in no particular order, just the first ones to come into my head :)
1) Darren Shan from The Saga of Darren Shan - Darren is usually the first character that comes into my head when i think about characters i identify with, simply becuase of the way he reacts to the way his world changes so rapidly around him is probably the same way i would react if i were in his place. Also the learning about life the hard way, the losing of his innocence about the world that takes place in the early books is something i can identify with really easily becuase the same thing happened to me, admitidly not the same ways as him, but i came to understand that the world isn't a nice place and that people can and will hurt you if given the opportunity. Also his various attributes, his inventiveness, his eagerness to learn "cool" new things when shown them and his ultimatly upbeat attitude in the face of adversity are things i both admire and link with in equal measure, which is probably why i love the Saga so much.
2) Jonathan from The Roman Mysteries Series - Jonathan is another character that i identify with, mainly because of his views on life and his pessimistic attitude towards it, which is something i also suffer from and therefore can understand and sympathise with him as well as some of the things that he suffers through across the series. The growing aspect is also important here as you see Jonanthan coming out of his shell more and more as the books go on, which i link with myself as its something im still going through; being a nervous and shy person like Jonathan.
3) Jon Osterman/Doctor Manhatten from Watchmen - The main reason I identify with Doc Manhatten is to do with just the all-encompassing sense of dissillusionment from the world and society that he has throughout the novel and the inability to comprehend why people act the way they do. I can really identify with this sense of detachment and distancing from mankind as well as the inability to understand humans as i share the same cold logical viewpoint on life as him as well not seeing the need to show emotions as they simple hinder you efficency in life. It may sound very wrong to some people, but this is just my view on life and it simply comes from seeing humanity as it is, a chaotical, uncontrollable force that could destroy itself in an instant and is in desperate need of some control.
4) Arthur Penhaligon from The Keys to the Kingdom series - I like Arthur becuase he is me, in a sense at least. There are my tales out there of the reluctant hero, but Arthur is the one i identify the most with because he is pretty much the type of reluctant hero that i would be, just doing whatever he could to get his life back to normal with as little fuss as possible. Also the way he interacts with new people is admirable to me and he can get them on his side with relative ease, thought that may owe more to the type of people he meets.
5) Arthur Weasley from Harry Potter (you shouldn't need a link for that one =P) - Now this list couldn't go on existing without at least one character from the Harry Potter books being stuck in somewhere and though it may seem like an odd choice, the charcter i identify with the most is probably Arthur Weasley. The thing i link the most with is his eccentricity, the enthusiasm for things that most normal people would find and probably most importantly, the excellent father figure he plays, which i hope to imitate someday. I may not be a jolly as he is or have his knack for invention, but i share his love for all things different in this world and appreciation for them as well.
I could go on for a while longer talking about various other characters and how they are similer to me or what i admire about them, but i suspect that you wou get bored of them, so i'll stop there. Fiction all the way, now and forever!! =D
